Kids Art Supplies Organized…. Finally!!

Remember yesterday when I posted about Organizing all those pesky charging cords?

Well… let’s just keep those small Organizing Projects Posts going shall we?  We shall!

I have two Boys – who I love and adore – but they don’t gravitate towards doing lots of arts and crafts.  I think many boys are like this right?  Don’t get me wrong, they like doing them but if the supplies are not right where they can see and access them then they just don’t think about it.  My boys are more naturally drawn to all the electronics and video games – but of course those are totally in their face everyday in the playroom and are easily accessible for them.

When they were toddlers I purposely kept all the Art Supplies out of their reach.  That system was still in place today… and my boys are 9 and 6!  I realized it was time to change all that nonsense.  I also realized that I had Art Supplies stashed in about 12 different places throughout my home (which is why there are no Before shots).

When I was at Hobby Lobby yesterday in search of the perfect basket for my charging station I stumbled upon some other organizational goodness – at 50% off too!

Art Supply Boxes - Primer & Painted Nails

So darn cute!  And so perfect for Boys no?

Those divided sections are screaming for Marker Organization right?

Are you like me when you stumble upon the perfect solution for something?

Do you get this crazy excited giddy feeling in your gut?

Do you do a little mini happy dance in the aisles?

Just a mini one of course and just an internal squeal because you don’t want your fellow Hob Lobbers to think you are crazy after all (even though you know you are a little).

And here they are, all the Art Supplies corralled in to one central place!

Makes my heart happy.

Notice with this larger Chevrolet Box above, I also used Mason Jars to corral some of the smaller crafting supplies as well.  One big container can become a dumping ground so it helps to use smaller containers within the container to contain (lots of containing happening in one sentence) all the smaller odds and ends.

I have some plans in the works to create an Arts & Crafts room for the kids where these beauties will live.  My 6 year old specifically asked me to create this room (and we are lucky enough to have a guest bedroom that is currently the storage dumping ground)…. so of course I will!

Anything to spark some creativity and get them off the video games for a bit.

See You Soon…..
