A Tisket, A Tasket, A Cheap Thrift Store Basket

It’s clearly no secret that I love Thrift Stores!

On a recent trip to one of my favorite Thrift Stores, I scored some great accessories.  I'm going to be helping a friend with her Built-In Shelves by helping her stage her house for Selling (I am also her Real Estate Agent) and these finds will be perfect to fill those up.

You can see that post here.

Here was my haul of Goodies.

Do you see that flat woven basket underneath all that other stuff on the bottom left?

Well, we didn’t end up using it on her shelves so it has been sitting around my house waiting for it’s purpose in life.

After I completed the Dresser turned TV Stand that I blogged about day before yesterday, I found it’s purpose.

Here is a full view of what this Basket looked like before.

I gathered up all my Supplies – you know the usual suspects.

This project was super simple and super fast.

I taped off my stripes – at different widths and on a diagonal – and used my trusty little exacto knife to trim the edges.

I used Blue Painters Tape because my Frog Tape was too wide.  I pressed the edges down to ensure no Spray Paint Seepage (these are official terms people).  I did as usual and sprayed light even coats – it only took three passes.  I then peeled the tape while the last coat was still wet.

Here it is all done!

And Accessorized with a couple of my favorite design books!
