Boys Race Car Party….

It’s time for a Birthday Party…. a Boys Race Car Birthday Party that is!!!

Okay, in the interest of full disclosure, we were kind of long overdue for little B’s Birthday Party.  You see his birthday is actually December 27.

Total bummer right?

Basically, every year since his birth we have held his Birthday Party in February or March because we wanted other kids to actually be able to come.  We also always felt bad for him and never want him to feel like his BDay is an afterthought to Christmas.  We do take him out and give him his gift from us on the actual day but the party has to wait.

As he is getting older he is less of a fan of waiting…. but he really is the most patient kid on the planet.  He rarely complains… about anything.

I know my kids are easier to please… but I am not a fan of having their parties at the same old places where we always go to other parties.  These places are great and wonderful choices, but I love to find new places.

Thanks to my big bro, we found a place called Dallas Slot Cars.

A Race Car Party was born!!

I know Pinterest can be a total time suck…. but it can also be totally inspiring.  I browsed Pinterest for a while to get some Race Car Party Inspiration.  There were a ton of ideas!

So check out our Party!

Duck Tape covered Water Bottle - Primer & Painted Nails

It all started with this…. Duck Tape covered water bottles!  Seriously… whoever came up with patterned Duck Tape is a Genius.  It is so easy and handy for creating simple projects that are simple but have a big impact.

Finished Water - Primer & Painted Nails

All done!  So cute!!

Duck Tape here… Duck Tape there…. Duck Tape… Duck Tape…. Everywhere…

If it was good on water bottles, why not Goody Bags Too?

Ship Label Goody Bags - Primer & Painted Nails

Duck Tape alone was of course not enough for the Goody Bags.

White Shipping Labels came in very handy for this sweet party.  These labels and some free clipart make for some cheap party décor.

Aren’t these bags so cute?

Here they are all done…

Envelope Labels for Trophies - Primer & Painted Nails

Had to fill those Goody Bags!  Here was one of our Party Favors – cheap trophies with personalized 1st Place labels (more white labels – envelope this time).

Candy Car Supplies - Primer & Painted Nails

Another Party Favor – Candy Cars!  Here were all my tools.

Candy Car - Primer & Painted Nails

These Candy Cars were my favorite Party Pinspiration!

Let's Party - Primer & Painted Nails

Time to Rev up your Engines.

As you can see, I went label and Duck Tape crazy.  It was very handy indeed.

Spare Tires & Tools - Primer & Painted Nails

How about some spare tires and tools?

Pit Pass Close Up - Primer & Painted Nails

No one is allowed to Race without a Pit Pass!  These were super simple to make.  I used my favorite picture editing website Pic Monkey.  Easy peasy with the addition of free clipart.  Once they were done I took them to Staples to get laminated.  A hole punch up top and my hubby added the carabineers and checked shoe strings and voila!!

See You Soon…..

  1. Love it! Just wondering where you got your image of the red car & shooting flames on your party bags?

    1. Thanks!!
I found some free clipart sites and I used two separate images and put them together using pic monkey and then formatted them to be able to print two per shipping label for the bags. Hope that helps! (
